Corporate Social Responsibility plays a huge part in building the vision of Exelle. This organization was created with the aim of providing a wholistic approach to social development, and specifically about being more than a corporate services vendor. The promoters of Exelle had a vision to develop Botswana's first socially minded private entity, and created the founding bricks of Exelle's corporate culture based on this notion.

Exelle was founded in a single 3m X3m office room prior to moving into our Commerce Park based ExelleCentre. Upon inception, the promoters hand-picked several young and highly ambitious graduates to creatively put together the first team of associates who were divided into Sales, Administration and Operations. The combination of creative freedom, hard work and determination has built an organization with a broad outlook towards achievement and success. One that clearly ties together the work we do with the clients we serve, and the learners we help.

Exelle is perhaps the first company in the country to have a dedicated annual CSR day, known as our “ExelleDay”, where each and every associate in the firm is allowed one day off to spend on socially beneficial or charitable causes. At the end of the year, the person who’s ExelleDay had the greatest impact on the nation or on humanity is publicly recognized, awarded and rewarded for their outlook on national development.

In addition to that, Exelle has ambitious plans to promote higher education, rural access to computers, and most importantly inspiring, creating, nurturing and developing citizen entrepreneurs with the intention of creating the next generation of home-grown business leaders.

We have set plans to support HIV and AIDS awareness, as well as plans to support curbing alcoholism and drug addiction, and serious parenthood through our proposed “Responsible Living” programme, which we want to offer for free to at least 500 people per year.

All of Exelle’s printed materials, from pamphlets to brochures to learner packets and client information packets, and right down to this very web site, all have the red-ribbon to remind us, and our visitors of our challenges ahead as a nation. Exelle truly cares, and we’ve always believed that publicity generated by our CSR efforts should always be secondary to our real goal of social renewal.
